Just a Dream
Written for the May Year 3 topic of
"Happy Meal or Threshold"
Standing in front of the window pressing the nose against it,
Listening to buzzing of music, voices and noises,
Finding the courage to enter and disturb that atmosphere,
One of the most world wide-spread place, a food American embassy.
Just few simple steps and the door opened like in Aladdin cave,
Offering amazement, colors and mixture of scents,
Walk-bounding he is heading to the counters,
Together with lots of amazed curious sights.
Pressing the creasy red and yellow paper bag to his chest,
With the burger crumbs in his white beard of Elf,
And some sauce stains on stodgy coat pockets,
Glassy, of diamond shape, necklace graced his swan neck,
Cover the suntanned cross shape of the confirmation act.
Welcoming happy smile inspirited him to ask,
Ask a simple question like,
"So is the ice cream included in Happy Meals?"
"I,…, please."
The sunlight tickled his cold nose tip,
In his simple cardboard suite, and cut that thrilling dream.
And after, hopefully, happy day,
The case will be solved as Chief Inspector Barnaby,
Handle it on the crime scene.
To be continued ...,
In the next homeliness homeless dream.
