Does the wind taste of honey?
Written for the May Year 4 topic of
a child's observations
I have never tasted a wind.
Yesterday, I opened my mouth, and tried it.
I swallowed nothing.
Just the air went through the windpipe.
I breathed stronger.
I felt the wetness.
Another storm is coming.
I breathed secondly.
The hot taste of abele's allergen got inside.
No honey.
I breathed thirdly.
My mind returned back to childhood.
Sunday morning.
Smell of white coffee, bread and honey.
Our FAMILY.
It is the wind still helping me to feel the tastes of life.
That is the HONEY.
