When nature speaks Written for the May Year 1 topic of "Sonnet"

We made the skylarks cross this May morning
Where the secret oak splits and grows again.
They raised an exultation of warnings
While brave, lone chaffinch sang his scolding strain.
White blossoms chorus’d louder; hopeful May,
Festivities of Queen Anne’s lace made rowdy
Hedgerow harmonies. The first dog rose bayed
Pleasure and pain. Constancy choired bell blue clouds
And everywhere the innocence of daisies.
Listen! Grow songs within this Oak leav’d bower:
Plant Iris. Starred Celandine with Nightshade tease,
And Lavender, to strew our way with flowers.
This florigraphy gives voice to thought
Thus by blue periwinkle a message brought.
