Softly moonlight falls Written for the June Year 3 topic of "Music"

Softly moonlight falls in a darkened courtyard
Spilling gentle rays on each shuttered window
While the shadows gather in aching restraint.
                                                              Only a heart beats

Just the same as that which so long ago beat
Wildly like a storm through trees on a mountain.
High bright moon shine down upon my beloved!
                                                               Kiss for me her face.

(Beethoven – Sonata No. 14 ‘Moonlight’)
