AgeingWritten for the July Year 3 topic of
"Ageing or Marriage"
When I am very, very old
Remember stories I have told;
Remember playing in the cold
And hugging me.
Between us there will ever be
In years, a gap of sixty three.
Just keep a tiny memory
Of me somewhere.
What diff'rences our faces show!
Yet we are similar I know:
A little bit of me will grow
In you always.
I've watched you 'age' and shared with you
Much love and fun and closeness too.
Be happy then in all you do
Now that you're two.
