Spring Written for the April Year 3 topic of "Spring"

It is a truth well-known to all of us
That after life comes death, the end to strife,
Although there is another side to this,
Strange might it seem, but after death comes life.
The thrusting, vibrant green and verdant spring
Unsought, untaught, then rudely, roughly blooms.
Where 'ere you go, you sense this annual ring.
The birds, the blooms, the birds, the smells, parfums.
A general feel that things are looking up
But just how much is not revealed until
A walk around the garden for to sup
The beauties there reveal the basket's full.
The engine of it all is gentle rain
And life begins its cycle once again.
